As part of its ongoing social value commitment, Key Engineering and Hygiene Supplies Ltd has donated 20 hygiene kit bags to support care leavers as they transition into independent living for the very first time.
Young people moving into their first home often do so with very few belongings, meaning practical starter kits can make a significant difference during this important stage of life.
The donated kits include a range of everyday essentials such as washing-up liquid, hand soap, household rubber gloves, sponge scourers, sanitiser, swing bin liners, black bags and more – helping young people settle into their new homes with greater confidence and support.
Sophie Petire, Managing Director of Key, said:
“We are delighted to support Blackpool Council by gifting hygiene kits to your care leavers teams. At Key, we have valued our long-standing partnership with the council over many years, working together to provide meaningful support to young people transitioning into independence.”
This initiative highlights the positive impact collaboration and community partnerships can have in supporting vulnerable young people as they begin living independently.
